Ni vu ni connu | 2013

5This is a book about camouflage. That’s why I decided to hide a human face on the cover. I did it by mixing two pictures – a large painting and a small photography – using Processing codes. The face seems to show up from the painting, and the transition between the two pictures looks like rasters (by the way, the face is the one of Arnold Schwarzenegger, took from Predator, because the author talks about this movie in the book). I printed the book with different rasters (stochastic, standard, mixed, etc.) to have the best result (both for the cover and the inner pages). Also, I included a thin magnifying glass in the book – so that the readers can see in details all the elements hidden in the photographies reproduced.
